About This Opportunity
This position offers comprehensive services and advice to library clients while collaborating with colleagues across Learning and Research Services. The role supports strategic library initiatives and may involve working in various locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, deliver, and evaluate information and digital literacy programs.
- Provide advice on research, research evaluation, and impact, including research data management.
- Develop, publish, and maintain library content in digital formats.
- Contribute to the evaluation and management of the library's collection, including learning resources.
- Provide advanced information and advice on library resources and UQ systems.
- Communicate proactively with clients.
- Participate in library projects and contribute effectively to the library team.
- Any other duties as reasonably directed by your supervisor.
About You
- Hold relevant qualifications for associate membership in the Australian Library and Information Association or has equivalent experience in academic, research or special libraries.
- Demonstrated understanding of current trends in research, learning, and teaching within academic institutions.
- Possess substantial knowledge of information resources, including current tools and technologies used in academic libraries.
- Substantial experience in delivering information services to support research, learning, and teaching, such as providing advice on search strategies and systematic reviews.
- Demonstrated ability to provide client focused advanced information assistance and information and digital literacy programs through a variety of flexible delivery options.
- Demonstrate self-motivation, initiative, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building relationships and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with others and has a positive and inclusive mindset.
You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
