Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and enhance teaching in chronic health and cancer subjects for entry to practice and postgraduate nursing programs, contributing to curriculum development and the scholarship of learning and teaching.
  • Lead nursing education at The University of Melbourne, enhancing postgraduate programs through innovative, evidence-based teaching of science based subjects.
  • Make a significant contribution to the development of curriculum and delivery of educational programs using online and blended modes of delivery in nursing practice.
  • Identification of appropriate approaches to teaching through analysis of learning needs of students.
  • Demonstrate a proactive reflexive teaching practice through seeking guidance from senior teaching staff and student feedback.
  • Apply contemporary pedagogical insights to teaching practice, including those specific to the discipline of nursing.

Requirements
  • A masters degree in nursing and recent clinical experience working in nursing.
  • A completed or close to completed PhD in nursing or health related discipline.
  • Experienced in delivering nursing award programs, curriculum design and development, creating assessment materials, course evaluation, and program coordination in nursing practice.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, effectively managing time and coordinating multiple tasks while demonstrating compassion in interactions with students and key stakeholders.
