About the Role
As a Student Programs Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of various enrichment initiatives designed to foster a sense of belonging and connection among FEIT's diverse student community.
You will work closely with student clubs, societies, and stakeholders across the University to implement programs that support students throughout their academic journey, from orientation to professional development and well-being activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the implementation of FEIT's Student Experience strategic plan, coordinating new and existing enrichment programs, activities, and events.
- Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including FEIT student clubs and societies.
- Contributing to the planning and delivery of orientation programs, mentoring initiatives, well-being and professional skills development opportunities for FEIT students.
- Foster an inclusive environment by supporting programs that celebrate diversity, cultural understanding and are accessible to all students.
- Collecting and analysing data on student participation, experiences, and satisfaction to drive continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
Who We Are Looking For
You will have a tertiary qualification with relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and education/training in a similar role within a tertiary environment.
Excellent organisational, project management, and administrative skills are essential, along with the ability to prioritise workloads, manage multiple tasks and projects, and meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
You will also have:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide advice and support to a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels, and a willingness to present and facilitate information sessions.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to be proactive in maintaining systems and ensuring continuous improvement in service delivery.
- High-level computer literacy skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
