About the Role
The Digital Strategy and Channels (DSC) team sits within University of Melbourne Communications and Marketing, with responsibility for delivering a digital experience appropriate for one of the world’s leading universities. Guided by a defined digital experience strategy, we put user experience at the forefront, while staying aligned with the broader strategic goals of the University. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in shaping digital experiences within a purpose-driven organisation.
The CRM Campaign Specialist role will plan, develop, execute and measure automated, end-to-end digital marketing campaigns. Your efforts will drive traffic, nurture high-quality marketing leads, and optimise conversions, helping achieve key business objectives. Initially, the focus will be on email campaigns, with a view to expanding into multi-channel strategies, including SMS, programmatic advertising, and personalisation across owned channels as our capabilities grow. In addition to campaign execution, you will be responsible for analysing and evaluating marketing activity to continually enhance outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support implementation of CRM project plans and help identify improvement opportunities
- Ensure effective and timely delivery of end to end campaigns to meet campaign requirements
- Coordinate and implement marketing campaigns to achieve targets set
- Work in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to ensure communications and campaigns meet compliance and business requirements
Who we are looking for
We’re looking for people who demonstrate advanced interpersonal skills and sound judgement, capable of fostering positive collaborative relationships to ensure the timely, and high-quality delivery of marketing objectives.
You will also have:
- Demonstrated work experience within relevant marketing and communications field and tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, finance, business or a related discipline
- Solid knowledge of and experience with business, analytics, and reporting platforms such as MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Google Data Studio
- Sound knowledge of digital advertising and digital marketing solutions and techniques and an understanding of key drivers
- Numerate and ability to conduct business analysis making recommendations on how to optimise CRM marketing activity.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
