Salary

Responsibilities
  • Manage the Institute’s Higher Degree Research (HDR) and operational activities.
  • Assist in planning, developing, and implementing HDR events, meetings, seminars, and training.
  • Promote the Institute’s HDR research activities.
  • Provide general administrative support for day-to-day operations of the Institute.
  • Manage various email queries and ensure timely and accurate document management including correspondence, briefing papers, agendas, and minutes.
  • Work closely with the Senior Research Officer, Institute Manager, Director of Higher Degree Research, Researchers, and HDR students to support various administrative activities.
  • Coordinate seminars, provide student support, manage candidature, budget tracking, and handle financial processes.
  • Manage and reconcile corporate credit card statements and related paperwork.
  • Assist with the reconciliation of purchases and maintain accurate records of the Institute’s assets.
  • Organise purchase orders and process transactions.

Requirements
  • Relevant qualification and/or equivalent professional administrative training and experience in a large and complex organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience with Higher Degree Research candidature processes and procedures.
  • High level of computer literacy skills.
  • Experience in monitoring and reconciling financial transactions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to think innovatively and exercise initiative.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with management, staff, and external agencies.
  • Ability to establish professional relationships.
