Responsibilities
  • Make a positive contribution to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ health and wellbeing.
  • Work with communities and the community-controlled health sector to achieve equitable health and wellbeing for First Nations peoples.
  • Contribute to existing research programs and explore new directions for high-impact research.
  • Engage in qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method research.

Requirements
  • Must be Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander as per s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld).
  • Evidence of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identity is required.
  • Must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
  • Completion of pre-employment checks including right to work in Australia and education check.
