Responsibilities

  • You will provide mechanical technical expertise and support to academics and students.
  • The role supports setting up mechanical and other engineering teaching equipment, ensuring the equipment is maintained and operated safely.
  • In the role you be required to train demonstrators and support any practical activities or research productivity.

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary or technical qualification or equivalent competency
  • Substantial relevant Mechanical trade and or technical engineering experience appropriate level
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to set priorities and to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email on online/internet-based systems

  • Current (or ability to hold) high-risk licences including but not limited to Forklift, Dogging and Basic Rigging, Gantry and Crane operation, Working at Heights and Confined Spaces.
