Research Associate or Research Fellow (Global Change Ecology)

Salary
  • Base salary range: Level A, $80,520 – $108,362; Level B, $113,934 - $134,824 p.a. plus 17% superannuation

Responsibilities
  • Undertake ecological research focused on high impact, applied outcomes
  • Collaborate with scientists at UWA, CSIRO and a range of land managers
  • Travel for fieldwork across the Kimberley and Pilbara regions of Western Australia
  • Contribute to the operations of laboratory and glasshouse facilities
  • Compile and analyse large volumes of data, including plot-level vegetation samples, environmental measurements from dataloggers, time series image analysis, and remotely-sensed observations.

Requirements
  • PhD in ecology or a related discipline
  • Highly developed quantitative skills with experience in ecological analyses
  • Demonstrated track record in theoretical, conceptual and practical knowledge in applied ecology relevant to invasive species management.
