Salary
  • $111,030 - $131,335 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

Responsibilities
  • Involved in both research and teaching within the Earth Sciences department.
  • Develop a vigorous externally-funded research program.
  • Supervise honours and postgraduate research students.
  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary research programs nationally and internationally.
  • Deliver a quality teaching program at undergraduate, honours, and postgraduate levels.
  • Contribute to developing new courses and programs.
  • Teach a broad range of geological subjects in various environments.

Requirements
  • PhD or equivalent degree in Earth Sciences.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching undergraduate-level Earth Science or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated research excellence and interest in geoscience applied to critical mineral ore systems.
  • A track record of successful engagement and research collaboration with industry and/or government institutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and work effectively as a member of a research team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, organisational skills, and ability to forge collaborative relationships.
