Responsibilities

Accountable for all phases of procurement with a focus on strategy development and execution.
Ensure procurement strategy aligns with broader organisational objectives.
Deliver quality procurement strategy, governance integrity, and commercial best value.
Provide executive quality reporting.
Establish and sustain trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of skilled procurement professionals.
Provide strategic insight and detailed inquiry to project, program, and portfolio oversight.
Achieve best value strategic sourcing outcomes, measured through bottom line benefits and performance improvements.
Develop effective and efficient procurement processes, track, measure, and report procurement effectiveness.
Oversee the financial interface of procurement, ensuring budgetary compliance.

Requirements

Significant Strategic Procurement experience and understanding of contemporary strategic procurement approaches.
Ability to develop, communicate, and present complex business case/procurement strategy proposals.
Capacity to collaborate and maintain strong relationships with supply partners and stakeholders.
Highly developed consulting, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Analytical and conceptual thought in diagnosing problems and providing innovative solutions.
Strong consultative capability to offer expert commercial and strategic procurement advice.
Identification of commercial and operational efficiency improvement opportunities.
