Salary
Base salary will be in the range $78,944.40 - $87,750.37 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 5)
Responsibilities
Coordinates aspects of cell and organoid culture, analysis and general lab maintenance
Assists in the design of research studies, under supervision of senior staff
Applies and/or instructs others on the application of advanced or specialist or technical research skills or processes
Assists in the conduct of major or complex experiments, tasks or programs
Troubleshoots issues with scientific/technical equipment
Undertakes maintenance and upkeep of facilities and equipment
Contributes to the safe and efficient operation of research equipment, infrastructure, methodologies and protocols
Ensures the appropriate storage, handling and disposal of chemicals, equipment, stores and/or samples/specimens
Assists with drafting research documentation, including ethics and funding applications
Undertakes literature searches and reviews
Assists with routine team administration
Assists with preparing reports, graphs, figures and presentations on research outcomes at different stages of the research cycle outcomes
Any other duties as reasonably directed by your supervisor
Requirements
Completion of a degree level qualification in cell biology and/or molecular biology; or completion of a Diploma with relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
Excellent practical research skills and experience in relevant research methodology or techniques required for this body of research
Experience using iPSC cell culture, organoid biology, immunohistochemistry, q-PCR, western blotting, molecular biology
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
Ability to work independently on routine procedures
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Well-organised, methodical and self-motivated
Previous experience in a similar role would be considered favourably

The successful applicant will receive a tax-free stipend, at the current value of $35,013 per annum 2024 full-time rate, as per the Monash Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend.
Responsibilities
Undertake a PhD within the iPSC-based Cell Therapy laboratory.
Conduct research on improved methods for reprogramming, gene editing, and cell differentiation.
Develop iPSC-based cell therapies for diseases including Neural disorders, Ophthalmic diseases, Osteoarthritis, and Cancer.
Collaborate with a dynamic and supportive research team.
Develop a research area based on personal skills and expertise.
Requirements
Honours degree in immunology, cell biology, developmental biology, genetics or a related discipline.
Experience in cell biology and/or tissue culture; experience with pluripotent or somatic stem cells is advantageous.
Understanding of cell characterization methods and technologies (e.g., flow cytometry, qPCR, immunoassays, microscopy, molecular biology, histology).
Experience with multi-omic data processing, analysis or integration is an advantage.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
