Medical qualification and eligibility for registration as a medical practitioner in Australia
Specialist or general practice qualification permitting specialist registration with AHPRA
Established profile in clinical teaching
Expert knowledge and experience in a general or specialist clinical capacity
Evidence of knowledge of current education best practice
Substantial senior contribution to quality clinical teaching at undergraduate, postgraduate and/or professional entry level
Experience in undertaking or facilitating research or scholarship of teaching and learning
Record of contribution to the supervision of medical students

Responsibilities
Deliver teaching and learning for Rural Clinical School students in clinical rehabilitation, aged care, and palliative care through tutorials, clinical sessions, and ward rounds at Grampians Health, Ballarat, including orientation, assessments, and examinations.
Participate in service and leadership activities by attending meetings, contributing to Rural Clinical School committees, and managing student placements in mental health, fostering communication and supervision.
Support research by supervising medical student research projects within the MD Research Skills training program.
Requirements
Hold a medical qualification recognised in Australia and a Fellowship of an Australian College or an equivalent postgraduate clinical qualification.
Specialising in rehabilitation, aged care, or palliative care, with a passion for academic roles, demonstrating flexibility, collaboration, compassion, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
Provide specialised academic advice to students enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program at the Regional Clinical Unit (RCU).
Provide high quality academic leadership support and enhance the progression of students through each of the four years of the MD program, including academic guidance, remediation, pastoral care, career guidance and extension activities for students.
Maintain personal academic standing including the pursuit of research and scholarship.
Demonstrate personal effectiveness in supervision and management and development of student capability and skill.
Consistently demonstrate behaviours that align to the UQ values and contribute proactively and respectfully to the RCU and Learning Community.
Requirements
