Responsibilities
Lead service/engagement planning and budgeting
Mobilize and manage vendor service teams
Facilitate buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client
Direct on-time, quality delivery of work products
Manage engagement economics
Manage engagement risk
Assist in the management of day to day interactions with executive clients and sponsors
Create and deliver monthly status reports and presentations
Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at the client and with key vendors
Participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process
Contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies
Develop practical solutions and methodologies
Develop 'whitepapers' and 'point-of-view' documents
Lead training
Get published in industry periodicals
Perform role of counsellor and coach
Provide input and guidance into the staffing process
Actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities
Provide leadership and support for remote and on-site delivery teams and staff
Requirements
7+ years of relevant industry or consulting experience
2+ years of experience managing academic technology, distance learning and/or online initiatives
Proven ability to set and achieve goals
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
Excellent interpersonal, project management and written and verbal communication skills
Well-developed customer service skills and proven ability to develop and sustain productive customer relationships
Knowledge of Brightspace and other Instructional Technology tools such as echo360
Proficiency with emerging technologies, such as podcasting, vodcasting, asynchronous/synchronous technologies and virtual worlds
Ability to plan and lead training for faculty utilizing technology
Comfortable leading and facilitating demos, workshops, training seminars
Experience with Banner and ILP preferred
Knowledge of multimedia instructional technologies and synchronous and asynchronous instructional strategies
Strong understanding of distance education delivery methods
Strong analytical and technical skills
A willingness/eagerness to mentor staff
Comfortable leading and managing multiple vendor relationships
Ability to lead and run large meetings, facilitate vendor demos, workshops, and training seminars
