Salary
FTE salary in the range $78,944.40 - $87,750.37 (HEW 5), plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%.
Responsibilities
Develop, deliver, and evaluate health and wellbeing programs and initiatives, particularly for CALD students.
Coordinate workshops, events, and outreach activities.
Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including students, staff, and external organizations.
Create and manage content for website and social media platforms.
Assist with administrative tasks, including data collection, report writing, and staff management (volunteer students/advisers/peer educators).
Support the implementation of UQ Wellbeing strategies and initiatives.
Perform other reasonable duties as required within the Health Promotion Team.
Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in health promotion or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in planning and delivering health promotion programs.
Proficiency in relevant software applications.
Ability to analyse data and prepare reports.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational and time management skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
Hold, or be eligible to obtain a Queensland Blue Card.
You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.

Responsibilities
Develop, coordinate and evaluate campus wide wellness education programs, services, and initiatives that educate students in the areas of wellness.
Develop, conduct, and access health and wellness programs for students including workshops, activities, fairs, and residence hall programs.
Develop relationships with agencies and organizations that can support these efforts.
Develop and implement media campaigns including newsletters, email, social media, and informational signage.
Collaborate with other wellness stakeholders to increase effectiveness and visibility of marketing and communications.
Advise clubs and organizations related to student wellness.
Utilize and support student led initiatives and programs to further student involvement with health and wellness topics including working with Cardio Club, Student Health Advisory Council, and Peer Health Educators.
Implement sexual health, domestic violence, harassment, and alcohol and other drugs educational programs and initiatives to support student health and wellness.
Supervise Peer Health Educator Interns who provide programming and support.
Participate in First Year Experience residence hall programs.
Participate in Trailblazer Pre-Orientation programming assisting the Coordinator of Outdoor Recreation in delivery of programming to first year students.
Participate in an on-call duty rotation with the Campus Center and Student Engagement professional staff.
Provide staff with direction and assist with the operation of the Campus Center and Finley Recreation especially at times when programs and activities are occurring.
Respond to emergency situations per procedure and as necessary.
Confer regularly with immediate supervisor, Student Affairs staff, and other University personnel to plan, coordinate and evaluate programs/activities/policies, exchange information, investigate and resolve problems, refer students, and the like.
Assist in the coordination of Weekend Campus Life Programs and Major Student Events.
Assist in major department and institutional programs including but not limited to Orientation, Family and Friends Weekend, Experience UNE Days, Open House, and ULead.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred, in a relevant field such as Health Education, Health Promotion, Public Health, Counseling, or related field preferred with 1-2 years of relevant professional experience in a college setting or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
Demonstrated ability to implement impactful health and wellness programming to university students.
Previous experience developing and disseminating health and wellness topics
Experience in higher education or community health setting preferred.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work weekends and evenings
Strong technology skills as it relates to Microsoft Suite applications, social media, advertising/promotion software.
