Level B – $119,231 – $141,581 p.a. plus 17% super
Responsibilities
Design and develop curriculum in areas of precision agriculture and remote sensing that complement and build on the existing strengths of the School.
Preparation and delivery of lectures, tutorials and seminars as appropriate and in line with Faculty of Science minimum thresholds for teaching satisfaction.
In collaboration with Senior Academic staff conduct internationally competitive research, resulting in publications in high-impact journals.
Contribute to and publish academic papers and other scholarly outputs to a high academic standard in accordance with the research expectations of the University of Melbourne.
Actively participate in School meetings and contribute to planning activities or committee work to support capacity building in the areas of agriculture, environmental sciences, precision agriculture and remote sensing.
Requirements
Completion of a PhD in precision agriculture, remote sensing or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in precision agriculture, remote sensing, airborne hyperspectral, multispectral and thermal sensors for agricultural applications.
Demonstrated experience, relative to opportunity, in developing engaging undergraduate and graduate teaching programs related to precision agriculture and remote sensing.
Experience leading grant applications for programs, including but not limited to, the Australian Research Council (ARC) and other funding schemes.
