Salary
Salary range starting from $126,547.65 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Responsibilities
Provide expert technical guidance, coaching, and advice to the broader payroll team, ensuring the efficient, accurate, and compliant delivery of salary packaging, superannuation, and payroll services
Manage the accurate and timely processing of fortnightly pay runs, superannuation, payroll reconciliations, and adjustments for all University employees
Develop and implement procedures to ensure seamless adaptation to changes in legislation, maintaining compliance within the payroll function
Manage and/or collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in the maintenance and upgrade of the current payroll system
Requirements
Proven experience in managing payroll processes, while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing
In-depth understanding of Australian payroll legislation, including the Fair Work Act, taxation laws, superannuation requirements, etc.
Proven experience in managing system implementations, process improvements, and legislative updates
Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and mentoring a high-performance team

Total remuneration range $90,773 to $102,949 pa (includes salary range of $76,699 to $86,986 pa, employer superannuation contributions of 17% of salary and annual leave loading)
Responsibilities
Provide payroll related information, advice, and support to clients on the interpretation and implementation of relevant HR policy and procedure.
Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to understand their people and payroll needs.
Prepare a range of employment related correspondence and payroll documentation.
Ensure that PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) data is maintained in a timely and accurate way so that critical deadlines are met.
Work collaboratively in a fast-paced team to ensure appropriate levels of compliant quality service are delivered to our people.
Requirements
A relevant Diploma or Certificate IV level qualification and/or relevant experience in a payroll role.
An ability to understand and interpret established payroll and HR policies and procedures within a large organisation.
Comprehensive knowledge of the use of Human Capital Management (HCM) systems or another large databases along with sound IT skills; and
An ability to work effectively in a team environment and organise and prioritise your own work activities in order to meet established deadlines.

Full-time, fixed term appointment until 30 May 2025 (36 hours/week).
