Salary
Total remuneration package of up to $102,190 comprising base salary within the range of $78,210 to $87,342 plus 17% superannuation.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with course coordinators to develop and improve teaching resources and procedures
Support quality learning and teaching to enhance the student experience and graduate outcomes
Liaise with academics, support staff and other technical officers regarding teaching and learning requirements
Undertake a leading role in Workplace Health and Safety issues during practical classes and preparation
Maintain, calibrate and facilitate servicing of equipment within Biomedical Sciences
Maintain stock levels of equipment and consumables for the Microbiology laboratories
Provide technical support to unit coordinators during practical classes when required
Liaise with external agencies and equipment suppliers to maintain and develop knowledge in technological advances.
Requirements
Completion of a diploma level qualification with relevant laboratory experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant training, education and/or experience.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively as a team member.
Highly developed oral, written, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and an ability to think flexibly.
Demonstrated high level skills in a range of computer software applications including word processing, database, spreadsheet, presentation software, email, and the internet as a resource.
Experience in working with biological material that may include blood products and low-level infectious agents.
