Responsibilities
Assist Professor Bianca Brijnath with key communications tasks.
Organise project launches and community outreach events.
Manage social media engagement and community media outreach.
Conduct national consumer tours and community-capacity building efforts.
Requirements
Demonstrated experience in leading community engagement or outreach programs, particularly within a social justice, consumer engagement, or not-for-profit context.
Proven experience working with vulnerable or at-risk populations, with an understanding of the challenges they face.
Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate event coordination effectively.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders, including community groups, government agencies, and industry partners.
Ability to produce and edit copy to ensure quality, consistency, and accessibility, applying a strong understanding of accessible writing techniques.
Ability to analyse data and use insights to drive decision-making and strategic planning.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, follow established procedures with limited supervision and contribute positively to an effective team.
High level proficiency in computer software packages including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, electronic mail, CANVA, and social media.
