Lead the Employment Relations Advisory team in providing staff-related guidance across industrial instruments, EA/legislative interpretation, union negotiations, workplace change, employee performance, and termination.
Support the team in providing advisory services across the employee lifecycle for both Faculties and Divisions.
Manage and resolve complex industrial and employment matters.
Advise on legislative changes and contribute to the development of the University's enterprise bargaining strategy and implementation.
Represent UNSW in negotiations and foster effective working relationships with the broader Human Resources team, ER Conduct and Complaints team, and UNSW Legal & Compliance team.
Requirements
Substantial experience in managing ER matters.
Legal practice experience is highly regarded, though not essential as this is not a legal role.
Demonstrated ability to lead, support, and develop a specialist team in a complex environment.
Extensive experience providing ER advice to senior leaders, line management, staff, and dealing with employee unions.
High level interpersonal and negotiations skills.
Proven ability to communicate with stakeholders effectively and influence outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to think and operate strategically in an HR context, with high level problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Sound judgement and the ability to exercise initiative, tact, and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.

HEW 7 Salary - $96,669.80 - $104,731.27 base +17% super. Full package range - $113,103.66 - $122,535.
Responsibilities
Provision of Tier 1/2 advice and assistance on payroll related matters and legislative requirements to employees and Managers.
Timely analysis and processing of fixed term, continuing (paid and unpaid), casual and sessional staff master data via PeopleSoft HCM.
Ensuring data integrity, consistency, and accuracy of information.
Maintenance of databases, preparing and processing of Workcover entitlements.
Updating and maintaining executive and academic/senior management details, and salary packaging benefits where required.
Liaising with internal and external clients, other elements of the University and external bodies as required.
Demonstrating behaviour in accordance with the Fraud and Corruption Control Framework and the University's Integrity program.
Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualifications or an equivalent combination of relevant experience in payroll and HR master data processing and analysis.
