Remuneration Level B position $123,620 - $145,730 + 17% Superannuation and annual leave loading Pro Rata
Responsibilities
Demonstrate and continuously develop a well-defined teaching philosophy that inspires student learning and improves teaching and student experience.
Initiate the development of emerging pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning with the support of more senior academics, including the development of applied methodologies for climate positive design and improved landscape performance outcomes (socially, environmentally and economically).
Coordinate courses and manage course administration such as Course Authority, including academic quality assurance.
Assess student learning achievements and support students in postgraduate and undergraduate courses in line with UNSW policy.
Maintain professional development in pedagogy, disciplinary knowledge and deliver minimum professional accreditation requirements as determined by the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects.
Demonstrate excellent team skills by making a positive contribution to the Landscape Architecture Program and School School/Faculty committees as required.
Requirements
A PhD in a landscape architecture or a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience in Landscape Architecture equivalent to AQF Level 10.
Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date and advancing discipline knowledge.
Demonstrated high-quality teaching effectiveness, and teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant and emerging digital technologies relevant to the field of landscape architecture, including those that support climate change adaptation and improved landscape performance outcomes (socially, environmentally, economically).
Demonstrated working knowledge of relevant state and national policies and their role in progressing the profession of landscape architecture including those related to Caring for Country and Climate Positive Design.
A track record of significant involvement with the profession and/or industry. Professional Registration with the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects desirable.
