Salary
$83,468 - $113,262 p.a. plus 17% super
Responsibilities
Preparing DNA and RNA from various tissue (i.e. blood, fresh, frozen, FFPE) sources
Analyse and interpret genetic data using software assisted analysis tools and report on results as required.
Maintain documentation of standard operation procedures in accordance with ISO15189 requirements and ensure that documented laboratory protocols are precisely followed.
Participate in continuing education activities in the Centre for Cancer Research and external training sessions.
Requirements
An Honours/Masters or PhD degree in relevant area such as genomics, molecular biology, genetics or biochemistry or equivalent and experience in molecular diagnostics laboratory.
Demonstrable high level of technical competency and molecular analyses with large scale next generation sequencing.
Demonstrated ability to consistently complete repetitive tasks in a timely manner with precision and accuracy.
High-level problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to exercise judgement, initiative and communicate to team and researchers using well developed communication skills.
