Salary
- Examination Supervisors at $37.90 per hour (including casual loading) plus super. Tech Assistants at $40.38 per hour (including casual loading) plus super.
Responsibilities
- Supervise student seating arrangements and assist with student direction and seating allocation.
- Verify student identification and manage examination materials, including attendance forms and question papers.
- Monitor student behaviour and address inquiries during examinations, ensuring compliance with examination regulations.
- Operate basic audiovisual equipment and computers within examination venues.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as instructed by the Chief Supervisor or Senior Administrative Officers, Examinations.
- Standing and walking for prolonged periods of time, climbing stairs, and lifting items of up to 5 kgs.
- Setting up and preparing electronic equipment and devices for digital examinations (for Tech Assistants).
- Employing troubleshooting protocols to address minor technical issues on students' devices as needed (for Tech Assistants).
- Logging technical issues promptly using a personal smartphone during exam sessions (for Tech Assistants).
Requirements
- Physical fitness and mental agility to maintain exam support duties while standing or walking for extended periods.
- Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a dynamic exam environment.
- Strong team player with a commitment to reliability.
- Proficiency in technology and computer literacy, including email communication, basic AV equipment operation, and online form completion.
- Effective communication skills to interact professionally with students from diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities.
- Availability to work Monday to Saturday during exam seasons.
- Unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment.
- Completion of background checks including, criminal history and education checks.

- Current coursework students at UQ or any other institution are not eligible to apply for these roles. Higher Degree Research students are eligible to apply.
