Salary
Salary, Level A – $110,059 to $117,718 per annum + 17% superannuation
Responsibilities
Contribute as a team member to collaborative research focusing on applied industry research and academic publications.
Develop and optimise cementitious grout mix designs for specific project needs by conducting various macro- and micro-analytical tests.
Develop and optimize testing methods to evaluate and trial grout injection techniques, accounting for complex geological formations.
Support the dissemination of research outcomes through appropriate channels and outlets.
Participate in conferences and workshops, assist with the supervision of students, and engage with fellow researchers.
Requirements
A PhD in a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.
Proficient in concrete or cementitious grout technology.
Good understanding of geological formations, rock properties, and subsurface conditions.
Basic understanding of hydrology and groundwater management is advantageous.
Background in industry-funded research projects or industry experience in a related field is advantageous.
Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
Demonstrated ability to undertake high quality academic research and conduct independent research with limited supervision.
Demonstrated track record of publications and conference presentations relative to opportunity.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships.
Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and presentation skills.
