Salary
(Level B) $111,031 to $131,335 or (Level C) $135,388 to $155,696 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.
Responsibilities
Develop, revise, coordinate, deliver, and assess introductory and advanced biostatistics courses to students in undergraduate and postgraduate programs, using both face to face and online delivery.
Conduct research in your area of expertise.
Contribute to research that enhances the profile of the School, including publication in journals of high standing, pursuing research grants, presentation and dissemination of research findings through appropriate channels.
Supervise research projects and higher degree by research students.
Foster productive relationships and collaborations within the University and with external parties (including research partners, government and professional bodies, and industry).
Contribute to academic administration.
Requirements
A PhD or equivalent research higher degree in statistics, biostatistics, or a closely related discipline.
Evidence of research ability with a record of high quality research achievements relative to opportunity.
The ability to teach statistics or biostatistics effectively in face to face or online teaching modes that promote student engagement.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English with both students and staff and across disciplines in the health and medical sciences.
The ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team and carry out administrative duties, as directed by the Head of School.
