Level A – $83,468 – $113,262 p.a. plus 17% super
Responsibilities
Conduct research to develop and evaluate sustainable fertiliser solutions and biofertilisers, focusing on nitrogen loss mitigation.
Collaborate within the ARC Hub for Smart Fertilisers, industry and academia to drive impactful agricultural sustainability projects and mentor emerging researchers.
Significantly contribute towards the research effort of the team and develop your research expertise with an increasing degree of autonomy.
Under the guidance and support of Senior Academic staff conduct internationally competitive research, resulting in publications in high impact journals.
Actively participate at Hub and School meetings and with guidance, contribute to planning activities or committee work to support capacity building in the School/discipline.
Actively participate in research seminars and conferences to disseminate research findings as opportunities arise.
Requirements
A PhD awarded in agriculture, soil science or closely related discipline.
Demonstrated ability to prepare research reports and manuscripts for publication.
Strong evidence of ability and desire to build an academic research career.
Demonstrated ability to engage with relevant professional and industry bodies and stakeholders to foster collaborative partnerships.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration in multidisciplinary research teams and liaising with diverse stakeholders.
Strong organizational abilities to meet deadlines and complete projects efficiently.
Demonstrated aptitude for research, with a solid publication record and experience presenting to academic, industry and lay audiences.
