Description | Post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the University of New England in the College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, ME. Research focuses on neuro-immune cell communication in chronic and neuropathic pain syndromes, specifically examining how T cells impact neuronal response properties in chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN). The Goode laboratory is R01 funded and part of the Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) in the Study of Pain and Sensory Function, which is a collaborative group of researchers with access to excellent core facilities.

Responsibilities | The Post-Doctoral Research Fellow will use cell culture, biochemical and cellular assays (multi-color flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry/immunocytochemistry, confocal microscopy, multi-analyte profiling, western blot), and pain behavioral tests in mice to investigate novel neuron-immune cell interactions. Candidate expected to be highly motivated, work independently, and prepare manuscripts and grant applications.
Qualifications | The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. in immunology, neuroscience, or related science field. Experience in immunology, cell culture, and flow cytometry is highly desired but not required.
