About the Role The Office of the DVC, Indigenous Leadership is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Academic Literacy & Learning Advisor. The position holds a key role in enhancing academic success for Indigenous students of Western. The position is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of Badanami’s Tutoring for Success (TFS) Program including coordinating tutoring services, matching tutors to students, overseeing program operations and the ongoing evaluation and improvement of program outcomes, processes, and strategies.
The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues within Badanami and other relevant stakeholders across the university, including academic staff, to ensure the program operates effectively and efficiently to build Indigenous student’s learning capacity and to self-manage and self-inform.
This is a fixed-term position until 16 December 2024 based at Campbelltown campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required. A current driver’s licence is required. Please review the position description for further information.
About YouThe successful candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent professional experience in adult education, program management and delivery. With a collaborative approach, you will have the demonstrated capacity to design, organise, and deliver academic literacy workshops and resources for face to face and/or online delivery to Indigenous students. Strong communication is required to create strong working relationships with various stakeholders within a student success team environment.
Working with Children Check:It is a mandatory requirement for any incumbent of this position to have a current NSW Employee Working with Children Clearance in accordance with the NSW Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 7 $117,645 to $126,892 p.a. (comprising Salary of $99,411 to $107,225 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
