About the Role:
VU TAFE is seeking expressions of interest for sessional teachers within the Early Childhood Education Department, candidates must demonstrate current industry experience as:
- Early Childhood Educator
- Early Childhood Director/ Manager
An example of duties you may perform will include:
- Teaching classes in the Cert 3 and Diploma of Early Childhood
- Preparing class content materials including case studies, problem-based learning scenarios, and delivering classes online and on campus at various locations
- Competency-based assessment and student evaluation including industry placement support.
Salary and Conditions of Employment:
- For the sessional teaching roles, the hourly rate payable is $86.90 per hour inclusive of 25% sessional loading plus superannuation.
- Conditions of employment will be covered by Victoria University's Vocational Teacher Enterprise Agreement 2019
About the Person:
Our teaching team is looking for someone:
- Who possesses a TAE40116 or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE40110 with upgrade units TAELLN411 and TAEASS502. Or proof of enrolment in TAE upgrade or TAE40122.
- With a qualification within the relevant sector, you are applying for.
- With current Working with Children Check or be able to obtain
- With a minimum of 1 year working experience within the last 5 years in industry to be able to bring your knowledge and experience to the classroom
- With excellent communication skills and “can do” attitude
- With relevant skills in Microsoft office, databases and record keeping.
- Current police check valid within 6 months or willingness to obtain one
