About the Role
The Resources Officer position is responsible for providing administration and communications support to effectively coordinate, maintain, and deliver Academic School related facilities and resources. Reporting to the Manager, Space & Resources, the role involves working closely with the Space & Resources Coordinator to ensure School operations align with university policies and procedures in areas such as space allocation, asset management, purchasing, and maintenance. The position involves liaising with the Space and Resources Coordinator to assess, report, and ensure the maintenance, repair, and replacement of University property and assets, including furniture, signage, IT equipment, and infrastructure.
As the primary contact for new and departing Academic staff and Higher Degree by Research students, the Resources Officer is responsible for coordinating on-boarding and off-boarding requirements to ensure access to space, furniture, and equipment resources in compliance with university policy. Additionally, the role involves proactively administering maintenance-related work requests and collaborating with various Facilities, Assets, and Campus Services teams to inform academic stakeholders of impact and resolution through timely electronic communication and notices. The Resources Officer may also participate in school, faculty, and divisional committees as directed by the Space and Resources Manager to contribute to the successful completion of major and minor infrastructure projects.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Previous experience in an administrative and/or resource support position preferably in a large multi-faceted organisation
- Demonstrated high level of organisational and time management skills and the ability to manage competing and conflicting deadlines
- A demonstrated commitment to client service principles and the ability to be flexible and responsive to client needs
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills, oral and written, particularly as they relate to communication and the maintenance of internal and external stakeholder relationships using a diverse range networks and channels
Qualifications
- Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or completion of an associate diploma and subsequent relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
