About You
RMIT University, in partnership with Apple, is looking for educational facilitators that are highly motivated to inspire new and diverse cohorts of participants to pursue a career in technology and App development through an innovative short program. We will target traditionally underrepresented groups in the Tech sector, including girls and young women, indigenous, those who are neurodiverse, etc.
You will work with a team including experienced facilitators/instructors from both Apple and RMIT to create new, fully integrated, cross-curricular learning experiences for the aspiring developers in the Apple Foundation Program. You must be excited about exploring new learning strategies and non-traditional pedagogy. You will be expected to learn alongside your participants, and model engaged learning as a senior learner. You will be expected to work with an extended team to build a strong collection of promising practices and learning materials including creating technical solutions for use in-house by students, mentors, and administrators of the foundation program.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have as a minimum:
- Extensive experience in, and a demonstrated passion for, technology-based instructional learning and empowering novice participants or mentees to reach their potential.
- A commitment to increasing diversity in technology.
- A willingness to challenge the status quo and to experiment with new and exciting short course facilitation and learning practices.
- Strong understanding of UX and UI fundamentals and UX process, ideally in mobile applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the demonstrated ability to deliver learning materials in an engaging manner to a variety of audiences.
- Proven ability to identify, build and maintain relationships with success in networking and stakeholder engagement.
- Sound understanding of the relationship between creativity, design and implementation.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating design fundamentals (composition, colour theories, typography).

School of Computing Technologies
The School of Computing Technologies (“SCT”) is a centre for digital innovation, world class research, and education in STEM via streamlined collaboration across relevant disciplines. We are committed to impact on the world around us, through solving complex technical problems and preparing students for fulfilling technical careers.
The school is led by the Dean, School of Computing Technologies, and has three disciplines:

The School's leadership is tasked with the significant responsibility of building the architecture and capability to position RMIT with a supercomputer capacity and a world class digital learning lab which will support interdisciplinary activities, including integration of augmented reality and other advanced technologies into teaching.
The strong focus on technology led by the SCT will drive the development of new capability platforms and enable the ability for RMIT to be embedded within industry and leading local and international research organisations.
