About the opportunity
The Head of International Partnerships and Development is a key leadership role responsible for developing and implementing the international partnership strategy. The role leads a team focused on recruitment partnerships, including educational partnership development (specifically for articulations), and sponsored student engagement and team management.
In addition to the international partnership strategy the role is responsible for coordinating and delivering the development and implementation of a business development and sponsored student strategy to support student recruitment. The role will also lead on the implementation of reporting frameworks for educational partnerships and sponsorships students and the partner management related to these areas.
Working closely across teams and within the university, the role will develop high-value partnerships that deliver recruitment, TNE, mobility and revenue outcomes. The Head will be responsible for risk management, evaluation and quality assurance of partnerships throughout the partner lifecycle.
About you
- postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field or extensive experience leading a team in a large, complex fast-paced organisation developing and implementing international student recruitment partnership plans
- extensive experience in the negotiation and implementation of successful business development and educational partnerships
- substantial professional experience in the development and execution of compliant agreements with sponsors and partners
- experience in leading, motivating and managing a diverse team of staff including managing staff performance with an ability to problem solve and develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives within a team
- highly effective interpersonal skills and multi-cultural awareness, and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- excellent organisation skills and high-level planning with good written and oral communications skills including public speaking skills.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
