About the opportunity
We are now hiring for a Senior Marketing Specialist to support the strategic projects and initiatives occurring within the University of Sydney!
The Senior Marketing Specialist will develop, implement, and manage the marketing communications strategies to support University-wide strategic project and initiatives, through collaboration with stakeholders across multiple areas. A large focus for this position will be contribution to the current
University’s Western Sydney Strategy. Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Develop and implement marketing communications strategies to support strategic initiatives and to enhance the University’s reputation and brand position, with a particular focus on the University’s Western Sydney strategy
- manage the development of marketing communications campaigns, content and collateral to support and drive strategic initiatives and campaigns
- provide expert advice and guidance regarding issues in the tertiary education environment, emerging marketing communications trends and industry best practice, and ensure they are reflected in marketing communications strategies
- design and implement evaluation protocols for marketing communications initiatives. Disseminate evaluation data and recommend and implement refinements.
About you
- Hold a tertiary qualification in a relevant field or a combination of equivalent training and professional experience
- previous professional experience working in a marketing specialist role or equivalent for a large, complex organisation
- extensive experience in developing and executing integrated brand and product marketing communications campaigns across a broad range of media channels and mediums
- well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communications as needed for target audiences
- proficient in using content management systems and utilisation of digital/ social media marketing platforms.
