What’s the job?
We are looking for a Remuneration and Benefits expert in Australia & New Zealand to join our Compensation Team. The Senior Analyst, Total Rewards – ANZ, will support regional compensation needs and partner with a global team to develop and maintain.
Locally in ANZ, Torrens Global Education comprises three distinct education providers: Think Education, Torrens University Australia and Media Design School in New Zealand. Torrens Global Education is itself owned by an American education services holding company called Strategic Education, Inc. (SEI). Strategic Education, Inc. (NASDAQ: STRA) is driven by an overall mission of improving college affordability, student engagement and workforce readiness. Within that context, the role will report into the Director of Global Compensation, based in the U.S., and will have a dotted line to our Vice President People and Talent ANZ.

You'll enjoy overcoming challenges and will bring exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills to the table. With a proven history of thriving as a business partner, you'll confidently navigate discussions on remuneration strategies with stakeholders across all levels. You’ll also possess strong understanding of regional regulatory requirements and ensure our compliance. This role demands flexibility to attend occasional early or late meetings due to time zone differences. You will be capable of working independently, taking full ownership of the Total Rewards position for ANZ. You’re eager to grow in your career and looking ahead, you'll lead the strategic vision for ANZ, driving change and innovation. Your ability to communicate effectively and spearhead transformational initiatives will be key to your success in this role.
This role could be attached to any of our campuses – Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne or Brisbane. We offer flexible working arrangements with a hybrid office and home working model. The position is full time permanent.
Day-to-day accountabilities:
This is a stand-alone role that has been rescoped to fit the needs of the business as part of a global entity. The role involves managing various aspects of remuneration programs and total rewards initiatives including:
You will come with:
4-6 years of experience administering annual compensation processes in a global or multi-region environment. (Preferably experience working as part of a Global Total Rewards team). Strong experience in Australian/New Zealand remuneration design and communication. Understanding of Benefits Administration. Experience in Compliance & Reporting. Experience working in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional demonstrated communication skills. In-depth understanding of legislation related to remuneration and superannuation. Strong data literacy with ability to summarise and present insights and business cases. Demonstrated experience running an automated annual remuneration review within a HRIS – Workday experience desirable. Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint. CCP or equivalent certification is a plus.
