Victoria University (VU) is seeking an exceptional and motivated leader whose experience in developing, implementing, and ongoing delivering risk, compliance, and complaints management frameworks and policies will be instrumental in supporting our organisational priorities. This role is pivotal in driving a proactive and positive risk and complaints management culture at all university levels.

The Opportunity
The Executive Director, Risk and Assurance will provide strategic leadership and foster enterprise-wide teamwork in the design and delivery of risk, compliance and complaints management strategy and associated frameworks that meets the needs of the executive leadership, Council and its committees, and broader university academic and corporate entities. They will be a subject matter expert and will provide expert counsel to the University on risk management oversight, compliance framework development and management, and risk governance and culture.
To be successful, the Executive Director, Risk and Assurance will need to build strong business partnerships with key stakeholders and internal clients; undertake relevant planning and evaluation of the services offered; and ensure service innovation and excellence through the design and implementation of effective business processes to support the function’s work. The Executive Director of Risk and Assurance leads a team of professionals in risk, compliance, policy and integrity and investigations.
