- Deliver high quality and innovative teaching and learning practices through the delivery and development of lectures, tutorials and other classes within the discipline of English at undergraduate, honours, and/or graduate and postgraduate levels.
- Teach across a range of content areas including the literature of Australia, global literatures, historical and contemporary literary periods, cultural studies, and creative writing.
- Contribute to the National School of Arts' research and publication profile and participate in research or scholarly activities leading to publications in refereed journals, books, and other appropriate scholarly publications.
- Demonstrate understanding of the university's Catholic Identity and Mission and how it applies to academic work by contributing to the integration of principles of social justice, the pursuit of truth, and care for the common good in all areas of academic activity relevant to the Teaching and Research Academic Pathway.

Deliver high level English teaching and research on the Strathfield Campus and throughout the National School of Arts and Humanities.
Work with a national team of English researchers and teachers to provide excellence and innovation in curriculum in English.

About the role:

As Lecturer in English, you'll be accountable for the delivery of high quality and innovative teaching and learning practices through the delivery and development of lectures, tutorials and other classes within the discipline of English at undergraduate, honours, and/or graduate and postgraduate levels. You'll be required to teach across a range of content areas and provide excellence and innovation in curriculum, content design and enhancement of supportive, inclusive and effective learning environments; which includes the practical application of effective support to students. You'll also contribute to the National School of Arts' research and publication profile and participate in research or scholarly activities which will lead to publications in refereed journals, books and other appropriate scholarly publications. Importantly, you'll demonstrate understanding of the university's Catholic Identity and Mission and how it applies to academic work by contributing to the integration of principles of social justice, the pursuit of truth and care for the common good in all areas of academic activity relevant to the Teaching and Research Academic Pathway.
