The Senior Lawyer will provide strategic legal guidance and support to the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, and Health Sciences (MDHS), encompassing its six schools and various departments. Reporting to the Director of Legal Services - MDHS, this key role involves delivering client-focused legal advice, fostering collaborative relationships, and spearheading initiatives that align with the University's strategic objectives. With a specialisation in complex commercialisation and research translation projects, the Senior Lawyer will focus on strengthening partnerships, facilitating university spinouts, and managing the commercialisation of intellectual property.
We are seeking a strategic and passionate legal professional with deep expertise in intellectual property, corporate transactions, and research commercialisation. The ideal candidate will have strong stakeholder engagement skills and excel in client relationship management. You will be confident in advising senior academics and executives, while also guiding less experienced stakeholders on effectively engaging legal support.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check.
