About the role
The School of Health Sciences and the School of Science, are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Governance and Compliance Officer from 21 October 2024 until 14 March 2025.
The Governance and Compliance Officer sits within the two schools and is responsible for case management of the misconduct process, ensuring academic and non-academic misconduct is dealt with effectively and in accordance with the appropriate guidelines and procedures.
The Governance and Compliance Officer will provide professional secretariat support to ensure that the requirements of School based committees, working groups and other meetings are addressed and satisfied. The Governance and Compliance Officer will also ensure that accreditation requirements, as they relate to ‘membership bodies’, are delivered effectively.
Skills and Experiences
The successful candidate will have:
- A relevant qualification and/or equivalent professional training and experience.
- Strong case management skills with previous experience in interpreting and effectively applying policy and applicable guidelines.
- Be able to exercise initiative, interpret policies and procedures, and provide advice.
Applicants should be aware that this role will be based at Parramatta South campus, however as Western Sydney University is a multi-campus university travel to other campuses may be required when operational needs arise.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 6 $107,358 to $115,073 p.a. (comprising Salary of $90,719 to $97,238 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
